Who doesn’t love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Or pizza? Or Corissa Furr? “No sane person” is the answer to all three questions. With Michael Bay’s latest movie hitting theaters today, we thought we’d combine all three into one amazing mash-up of geeky awesomeness: Corissa Furr’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pizza party. Go, ninja, go ninja, go!
The Turtle undies came first. As soon as Corissa saw those in the wardrobe, she started leaving hints about how much she liked the cartoon back in the day, so we absolutely had to do this look. And where there are Ninja Turtles, there has to be pizza, so we got Angelino Pizzeria to deliver the most delicious prop ever. By the way, there was none of this “simulated eating” for the sake of the picture. Throughout the course of this shoot, that pizza was devoured!
I loved shooting this set. Corissa was adorable, the photos turned out great, and the whole set smelled like pizza. Regardless of how the new movie is, we can all enjoy the fact that its existence directly led to this happening. Cowabunga, dude!
