I love how things come together sometimes. I was recently in Vegas and had an awesome hotel suite at my disposal, plus some extra free time one of the afternoons. I also got a brand new toy for Christmas; a shiny new Ricoh GR that I hadn’t played with yet. In my world, that means one thing: time for a photo shoot.
So I found the lovely Ayla and she came to the hotel the next day. In the heart of winter, everything goes dark so early, and we were on the unlit side of the hotel for the first part of the shoot. As the sun sank over Vegas, we used the last rays of light to take some beautiful black and whites. Ayla was awesome. We’d never worked together before, but she put her life on the line (yep, I asked her to lean on the glass on the 56th floor) to get the shots. Don’t worry, I have lightning fast reflexes and was prepared to dive in to save her if anything went wrong.
Ayla was a natural and I love how these images came out. The light turned out to be perfect for lending some drama to the photos. Look forward to even more black and whites from me in the coming months… and a lot more Ayla as well!
I agree with the gentlemen above regarding photo #6 it is awesome Cherie. Excellent set Ayla worked beautifully with you Cherie.
